Renaming MSSQL$BKUPEXEC service

Hi Guys

We have a cluster setup with the backup exec services running.

However, for some reason the second node has been allocated a different service name to the one on the first node.

First node - MSSQL%BKUPEXEC

Second node - MSSQL%BKUPEXEC1

As a result of this, the services wont fail over from node 1 to node 2.

I just want to ask has anyone come across this before and what they did to rename the service etc to the same name as the first node so we can fail it over when required too.

There are a lot of registy references to the value so want to see what others have dont to resolve this.

I would suggest that you use the default configuration for your BEDB.

Have you thought about how you are going to restore your data centre with a non-default BEDB configuration after the data centre is completly wipe out?
