I'm trying to find a work arround through this forum but nothing... May be someone can help me.
I'm using XOSOFT to replicate two file servers(real machines, no virtual ones), one is active and the other is offline, just the replication is working on it.
XOSOFT works with a third IP configured on the active server and a DNS name(virtual name) has been implemented to reach it all time. When a failover occurs, XOSOFT change this third IP to the OFFLINE server and it becomes the active one. With this solution if my two servers don't crash at the same time, people will reach the files without any problem.
Now, I would like to define a backup job to this DNS name but as the NETBIOS name doesn't exist, the job failed with an access denied error... What can I do?
I tried too to play with the LMHOST file but nothing...
