Hello,
We have Backup Exec 2014 on Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise. We just purchased a new server with Windows Server 2012 on it. Is it possible for me to use my latest backup tape to restore on our 2012 server what's on our 2003 server? If not are there any other options other than loading the programs one by one manually.
Thanks for your assistance.
Best Regards

It has always been unsupported to restore a system state to anything but the same version of operating system that it originally came from.
As such you can restore files and folders (user and application data) from Windows 2003 to Windows 2012 as a redirect restore, but you cannot restore anything to do with the System State and additionally be very caerful restoring anything from/to C: unless you know it is just end user data (you should be re-installing applications on the new operating system not trying to manually recover them via the file system)

Hi,
There should be no hassles. Restore the data, followed by the System State. Just check that the System State restore from Windows Server 2003 --> 2012 is actually supported by Microsoft.
Thanks!
