Hello,
i would like to know, how to restore a Exchange User Mailbox to a PST.
I have read the latest Veritas Artikel in KB, how to restore.
To my understanding, i can only Restore a mailbox with Outlook 2010 installed on the BE Server and with Exchange 2016.
How would i restore a user mailbox to a pst if i only have Outlook 2016/2019 or 365 and Exchange 2019?
Is there any recommendation?
I use BE 21.2 Rev 1200.1899

32bit only. try update BE to 21.3 , update the agent and then try the restore

We are supporting newer versions of Outlook see and the following section:

Backup Exec 21.2 and later introduces new supported Outlook versions. Refer to the "Exchange GRT restore to PST file" section of the Backup Exec (SCL) Software Compatibility List.

i tried Outlook 2016 and it didn´t work.
With Outlook 2010 i only get a restore of 10% of the mails and other mails are missing.
Inbox of Exchange 2016 has 483 mails and in the Outlook 2010 pst file i only have 7% (38 mails).
And other outlook.pst folders are empty.
I use BE 21.2 Rev 1200.1899

whats the error on the restore. can you attach the job log and always on beremote , bengine log from (BE Install path\Logs) / (exchange remote agent install path\logs) covering the time of the restore run which failed.

No error at all, the job was fine.
I checked the restore wizard, and the wizard only show about 38 mails.
So there are not all mails inside this backup set.
So i think, BE 21.2 is not able to backup all mails or restore all mails ... (big problem).
Is Outlook 2010 to old for a PST restore?
Backup Server is English, Outlook 2010 is English, Exchange 2016 CU21 Server is German.
Mailbox used is German

Backup Exec 21.2 is not compatible with Outlook 2016!

Hi,
i will test this with different mailboxes.
Maybe the amount of mails missing was an error in "what mailbox is restored"
and what user i used for verification.
With Outlook 2016 i got this error

i have read this and tried with Outlook 2016 Pro Plus Version, 32 Bit.
It didn´t work with BE 21.2 do i need BE 21.3 for Exchange 2016 CU 21 ?
For the missing mails, i have an error in testing: But still errors.
I restored a usermailbox "admin jb" and "verified the mailbox "admin jürgen b.."
So i tested again and restore "admin jürgen b" to PST.
PST File and Exchange Mailbox has differnt amount of mails (392 vs 483).

i´ll upgraded to 21.3 and tested again.
I was able to Restore with Outlook 2016 installed on Backup Exec 21.3 Server.
Sent items and inbox items are uptodate now, all mails are present.
So i must apologize, this was my fault.
