Dear All,

I have Development environment, with DAG Exchange 2010 running on Windows 2008 (Mailbox, HT, CAS role in 1 server) and Backup Exec 2014 running on Windows 2008. What i'm doing is, restore exchange item (1 User Mailbox) to alternate Mailbox database in same DAG. But then i receive this error.

Cannot restore one or more mailboxes. The database that the mailboxes reside in is dismounted or is not accessible. Ensure that the server is available and that the database is mounted, and then run the job again.

I have check the mailbox, it is mounted and backup exec can see the alternate mailbox. I attach restore summary in case i do it wrong.

That is a requirement, so please install it first, then try the restore again.

Dear Rait,

First solution : Automatically recreate user accounts and mailbox option only available in restore to original location.

Second solution : When a user is deleted from Active directory , the user is not deleted yet.

Best regards,

Iqbal
