Hi

We have a windows 2008 virtual machine in which our website is published through IIS. We need to restore our website as it got corrupted. what is the proper way to do that? We have the full backup of the server in Backup Exec 2012.

Thanks.

Hi,

Load up the VM and install the Remote Agent for WINdows Servers. This will allow the media server to communicate with the remote server and restore the data.

Restore the data, then restore the System State and check that it all works. Make sure you follow the DR requirements for IIS from a Microsoft perspective too.

Thanks!

If you have backed up this VM as a VM, then the easiest way is to restore the entire VM. You can also do GRT restore of particular files/folders if you know which ones are corrupted
