Hi,
I want to restor some files from a external SATA device.
I can see the device on my BE 2010 server.
There are 469 files like :
1-2-2014 | 17:11 | 4.294.846.464 | B2D000867.bkf |
1-2-2014 | 17:02 | 4.294.846.464 | B2D000870.bkf |
And 179 with a date of 1-2-2014
When I select a file with the date (1-2-2014) of the files on my device the restore job is set to the queue but after some seconds the jog gets the state active with job status Device Paused.
How can I rstore my file?
Robert

Hi,
Have you catalogged the files before doing the restore?
Thanks

We didn't changed the media any more for a while.
I've include the folder list in a file

I think I want to restore from a .bkf file.
I create a restore job with a file on the 1-2-2014.
This is in mij Symantec program.

No, not necessarily. BE maintains catalogs for a certain amount of time and they can be pruned from the BEDB. If this happens, you need to recatalog your media (tape or disk) to add those details back into the BEDB before you can restore.
Thanks!

...have you tried to restore locally to see if it gives you the same issue?

To rule out any issues with the B2D device, are you able to run other restores or even backups for that matter ?

I Cann't give a destination to where I want to restore.
So I saved my original.

...you can't do a redirected restore? Or you don't know how to configure one?
Thanks!

Found it.
It runs now with a Device Paused.

...what happens if you Unpause the server? will it run then?
Have you tried to run a repair of the BEDB using BEutility.exe?
Thanks!

I think I've a problem with a source drive.
There are 3 drives C, E (External USB) with my files, and a S drive
The S is not reachable any more.

I restore form E to C so I think S is not used by me.
