Restore a BE backup utilizing Windows 2008 r2 backup/restore

Is it possible to create a backup using BE 15 onto a removable USB disk and then restore it later utilizing Windows 2008 r2 backup software.

It will write in *.bkf format which is what Windows Backup Utility will also read and write in, but there is no guarantee this will work. You would need to test this. Your other option is to keep a copy of Backup Exec 15 on the same external HDD and install this temporarily on the server you want to restore on.

No.  This will not work.  Even if it does somehow work, this is not tested and you are solely responsible for any problems.
