Outlook is only needed to redirect to a PST - and in that instance Outlook can be on a workstation with the RAWS agent installed.
The options for recovery to a mailbox, either re-driect or to original, can be done on SBS and do not need Outlook (but do need disk space if you wrote your backups to tape.)

Yes you can, you can do a redirect restore to a pst but that would require installing Outlook on the target server. http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH191622 and http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO74371

...if you can't install Outlook on the server, and can't do a redirected restore to another mailbox or Exchange server, your best bet is to consider duplicating the Information Store to disk so that you get the *.edb file.
From there, look at something like Kernel for Exchange (licensed) which will crack open the *.edb and allow you to restore to a *.pst.
Best bet though would be to use lmosla's suggestion above with regards to installing Outlook.
Thanks!

Hello,
thanks for the answers. It's only one Server present. So it is not possible to restore to another server.
What about a "redirected restore to another mailbox"? How does it work?
Microsoft disallows installing Outlook on an SBS.
If there is not way to restore Mail without installing Outlook, you have to say: The SBS Version of Backupexec can't restore Mails!
??
Thanks for interest and answers.
