Restore files from a network-connected device

Hello! We have a lot of files with .bkf extension, in a hard drive Iomega StorCenter NAS, which we access via local network using IP (192.168.1.46). These files belong to a series of backups made with a Backup Exec installed on another server.

Now we want to restore to another server that aslo has the same versión of Backup Exec installed, and don't know how to connect the IP of the external device to recognize it.

Best regards, and sorry for my English.

There are a couple of things you can do.

You can try to create a New Disk Storage device and point it to the same path. hen inventory an caltaog the disk storage. Then you're done.

If you want the media some where else, Create a Disk Storage device. Then copy the Bkf's to that new storage. Inventory and catalog the new storage.

How can we create a New Disk Storage? Sorry, but we don't know the program very well, and we don't find that option.
We have tried this, but we get the attached error.

Regards,

On the storage tab, you should see Configure Device Assistant. Click this and choose Backup to Disk folder. If you are going to a network share, make sure that share is available and that the Backup Exec Service account has rights to this share. You can also try the local system's drive.
