Restore from Full and Differential Backups

Windwalker
Not applicable
I am restoring user folders/files from a full backup.  I want to then restore data in those folders/files from subsequent differential backups.  When restoring, should the "Preserve Tree" be selected?  Thanks.

"preserve tree" option is useful, if you would like to restore to a single folder, instead of creating the entire directory structure. If that is what you want, then you uncheck the preserve tree option. Otherwise, leave it to default and perform the differential restore. So, all you need to do is restore full and differential backup sets, selected in one job and then leave rest at default.
