Good Day All
We have a Backup Exec 2014 Server with CASO at Site A and a Backup Exec 2014 Managed Server at DR Site B.
Backups are taking place on Site A to DeDuplicated Storage and the replicated to Site B over WAN link.
My question is in the event that the WAN link fails (or any reason that the CASO is unavailable) what is the procedure for restoring from the Site B managed server without the CASO.
TIA

Depends on where your catalogs lie. If they're centralised on the CASO then you're going to have to remove the MMS from the CASO manually before restoring.
If duplicated you should be OK to restore from the MMS...
Thanks!

With the setup of CASO runs the backup and then duplicates to MBE you probably need to set the Private Cloud setting against the MBE as otherwise it may not get the catalogs even though it holds the backup sets.
As as per CraigV comment you do need to know how to make the MBE stand alone because when configured as an MBE it relies on the database of the CAS.
