Restore individual files and folders from a VM

Good Day,

I would need a solution please.

Using BEX 2014 with VMware Agent installed.

I created a new job to backup the content of an ESXi (5.1). All the credentials are ok, the Agents are installed and running on my VMs (2003 R2)

On the job tab, I double-checked the GRT option was ticked.

But I noticed 2 faults:

1. On the backup job sum-up, the screen doesnt display the content of the VM (files & folders) - it only shows the .vmdk file

2. when I try to restore from a successful backup, the screen only shows the .vmdk of my VM file but not its individual files & folders

Therefors, I just can restore the VMDK but not the single files & folders within, which means GRT doesnt do the job.

Is there anything I missed here ? How can I troubleshoot, please?

Any advice welcome... Many thanks !!

Regards,

My bad !!

I first tried to restore from the wrong source !

FIX:

If you want to restore individual files and folder , you got to the Servers tab then highlight the VM itself not the ESXi server, then right-click and Restore.

From there, "Files, folders or volumes" can be restored individually.

Thanks
