Restoring backed up VMs from one vCenter server to another

Hello everyone,

We've backed up our Vmware VMs using the only vCenter server we've had in out environment with Symantec Backup Exec 2010 r3,

We lost the vCenter server and had to set up a new one and add the ESXi host to it,

Now we're not able to restore the VMs to the new vCenter server; We encounter errors like unknown dvSwitch, or not being able to create metadata for the VM.

Please help ...!

Thanks

Does the new vCenter has a new name?  If it has a new name, did you try to do a re-directed restore?

Is it the same version as the old one?

Yes I'm already using Vmware redirection but I get this error:

DVS 69 95 12 50 15 18 76 c1-db 2b e6 62 cd aa e2 18 cannot be found

When restoring VMs to another vCenter, change in restore Job Properties-> Vmware Redirection -> network settings-> Choose a network (select an existing network in new vCenter)
