Restoring data

Hi

I'm trying to restore some data from one of my clients on my server. They have currently upgraded their device to a LTO4 the data is on a LTO2 tape. I'm running the same OS and Backup Exec Version 12.

When I run an inventory and catalog they are both successful, however, when I try to restore any data I can't any files when I expand the appropriate server. Is it possible to restore on another domain? I've done this before with Version 10d.

Greg,
Make sure you have no filter selected in the restore job. Filter can be enabled by dates, which may cause the restore selections to be not visible. yes, you can restore to another domain/server/workgroup without any issues, as long as you have Remote Agent installed on the machine, where you are restoring.
