Right click on tape for job history.

When i insert a tape and the overwright protection has not expired i would like to be able to right click on it and see what jobs have data store on that tape. Similar to the job history selection when you right click on a backup job. I would like to know the media history since the last time the tape was wiped clean. Thanks Doug

You can not see the contents(history) of a media after overwriting or erasing.

If media has some data and you want to see what it contains then Right click on media and click on restore.

In the restore window you can see the data present in that media.

In the restore window View By Media tab will display the contents by Media.

View by Resource tab diaplays data by resource from which it was backed up.
