Robotic library drive/media load failed

Server: "xxxxxxx") (Job: "xxxxx-xxxxx-DAILY") Robotic library drive/media load failed.

The robotic library has reported a drive/media load failed condition. This is typically caused by a drive hardware malfunction. The drive state has been set to offline. Please attend to this condition.

i got this error when i was absence.

and its backup was taking 60hours elapsed time.
so my supporter has cancelled the backup.

is that error because of the previous backup tape wasn't taken out and replaced with a new tape?
or is it because of just literally temporary hardward malfunction?

Hi coolcsgeek,

What make of device is this? If HP, download HP Library and Tape Tools and run the tests against the device. This will let you know if it is a genuine hardware issue. Any warning/error lights showing up?
You can also try loading up another tape and seeing if this solves the matter.

we are using powervault 124T and DELL LTO2 tape.
seems no problem at all in compatibility..
replaced new tapes. it works ok.
have an idea y?
