S3 storage type

We're considering AWS S3 backup supplemental to our local backup drives. What I can't find information about (for pricing purposes) is what type of storage at AWS we will be using and how it is calculated. My understanding is that backups performed daily are considered normal storage at S3, but if we stored a backup long term (more than 30 days) the price point is lower per gig?

I am making this assumption, but am looking for confirmation or documentation of the type of storage needed.

I'm also assuming that restoring will require outbouind data, another price point in the AWS S3 pricing charts.

Thanks!

Fellow BE users cannot advise on AWS pricing.
Most users choose the 'Standard-Infrequent Access' storage option.

Best is to contact AWS directly or look on their website for pricing.

Some of the available info on Amazon:
https://aws.amazon.com/s3/
https://aws.amazon.com/s3/storage-classes/
and then click on 'Request more information'.
