SBS 2003 Exchange Brick Level Restore Hangs At 1% From Backup Created With BE 10d

Not applicable

We are backing up a SBS 2003 with SP2 to an external hard drive using Backup Exec 10d with SP4 applied.  The first backup that has been configured to run is a full backup of the SBS 2003 OS and data files, Exchange IS and Exchange Brick Level, etc.  This first backup has completed successfully and we can successfully restore individual data files from that backup.

However, when we attempt to restore an individual email from the backed up Administrator mailbox the restore job hangs at 1% for hours.  Originally, when we attempted the operation we received the following error message:

Final error: 0xe000fe29 - Authentication failed on connection to the server. Make sure that the user account has the appropriate permissions and that the password was typed correctly.
Final error category: Security Errors

For additional information regarding this error refer to link V-79-57344-65065

That specific error message was resolved or stopped appearing when we went into the Resource Credentials and reentered the password used with the related Backup Exec System account which by the way is the Domain Administrator account.

Running the SG Mon tool provides the following log excerpts that may indicate the issue:

beremote: [6512] 10/21/08 10:43:49 ConfigureMsgService() returned 8004011c.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide,

Erick
