SCSI Timeout

We keep getting the following error on a server that is configured with BU Exec 10D. The server has an onboard array and an adaptec 29160N SCSI card that supports only an external Exabyte VXA-2 Tape drive. The unit worked fine for a couple months and then suddenly we started gettin about 12GB of data backed up and the job would stall and eventually fail after a couple hours.

The primary error message is:

The driver for device \Device\Scsi\adpu160m1 detected a port timeout due to prolonged inactivity. All associated busses were reset in an effort to clear the condition

To date we have attempted the following:

Replaced the drive
Replaced the drive case and SCSI cable
Replaced the SCSI controller
Updated with the latest Veritas Drivers
Attempted changing speed of the controller

Does anybody have any ideas.

Thanks for any assistance

Hello,

The Error you are getting is cocerned with the SCSI Card. Mostly the drivers of the SCSI Card.
Please try UPdating the SCSI Card Drivers and Firmware.

Thanks
