SMTP Mail not working

I'm running 11d and have configure my SMTP mail .... but its not working so we did some tests to see if it was not the exchange server... the test we ran was a telnet session and sent a test message on port 25 and it worked so now we know that mail outside of backup exec is working on this server... Once we bring up backup Exec and send a test message nothing happens this is configure exactly like the other 11 servers we bult.... can some please suggest something to try...

As long as your Mail server name and Sender email address are correct you should be fine. Have you tried sending your test message to different email addresses to make sure the recipient is not the issue?

Yes I have tried of E Mail Address.... but no go....

I've seen this before on a server I installed; it was Mcafee AV that was blocking Port25 assuming it was a worm...
