[SOLVED] Unable to update capacity for Virtual Disk (BE2010R3)

Crabbit
Not applicable

I've recently added 6TB to the VirtDisk environment via DELL OpenManage on the DL2200 (Dell™ PowerVault™ DL Disk-Based Backup Appliance powered by Symantec). The disks were for an expansion of an existing 3,5TB Environment.

Since the disks were configured and visible as totalling a little over 9TB now, i wanted to have this reflected in BE 2010 R3. It seems that the ARRAY 0001 shows enough space, but this is not being cascaded down to the VIRTDISK0002 (VIRTDISK0001 is non-configurable / Disk Class: Mirror)

I've tried to delete the VIRTDISK0002 from BE, but it only goes into Unconfigured state, and even when i Right Click > Configure, it doens't update to the new size, it stays on the 3.5TB.

I hope someone is able to guide me to the right area to have this updated.

Please let me know if you require more information.

//edit: Case # 419-071-383 has been opened with Symantec

//edit: Items that solved this:

- Downloaded Hotfix 191248

- Under Windows Disk Management, manually extend the VIRTDISK0002. This only if OpenManage and BE aren't in full sync (due to missing hotfix too)
