SQL Backup.

Hi all

We perform a backup on our database server holding multiple sql databases, the backup job processes fine. but something changes in a database afterwards. Our accounting package has a program (called scheduler) that runs on tbe same server, that monitors the database for jobs, every 60 seconds, it does these jobs without a problem. Until backup night, after that the scheduler does not run any jobs. i was wondering does backing up an sql 2005 database via veritas make any changes to the actual database, such as tables, flags and hidden parameters.

Thanks

The only thing that I can think of that may cause a problem is the creation of the $4IDR files.

Heres how to disable the create of those files: http://support.veritas.com/docs/285070
