SQL error number: "0011". - [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).] SQL Server does not exist or access denied

Hi we have been getting these in the event logs everyday. Backup Exec 11d seems to be backing up everything fine however I have a feeling that it has something to do with SQL Server 2005 Microsoft##SSEE which has been disabled on our server but I dont think we are using it for anything and it is not selected in the backup list. We are backing up Microsoft SQL Server stuff though.
The fix in the link below is the same error as we are getting but we need our agent working. The fix below essentially kills the agent. We have our Backup Exec server and SQL server on seperate machines.
