SQL license not required for B.E. server itself

Correct guys??  You don't need a separate SQL license for the back-end DB for B.E. itself.

Reason:  We are moving our SQL DB to another server (currently on the B.E. server) so our single SQL client license will still be enough??

Correct. BE's database maintenance process creates the BEDB.bak file, which is included in a filesystem backup, and is used in a disaster recovery situation.

Thanks guy!  I really couldn't see them requiring a license for the back-end SQL database but now that Veritas is Symantec (and with everything going on) I just wanted to check.
