SSSO services

We have an environment with 10 secondary SSSO servers. Whenever we have to reboot or restart the services on the primary server we need to do the same on all of the secondary servers as well. However, some of the secondary servers will not restart their services properly and we get the following:

When I check the event log on the server, I get the following errors:

Task Category: None

and:

All of the servers are running Backup Exec 2010 R2 and are up to date. At this point the only way we can resolve this issue is to reboot all of the secondary servers

Thank You,

Rick

Have you looked at http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH68932 ?

That solved the issue. All secondary servers are now up and running. HOWEVER, I noticed in the article that Hotfix 144101 was supposed to resolve this issue. All of our secondary servers that had this problem had Hotfix 144101 installed. the hotfix did not resolve the problem.

Is this HF present on the CASO server as well ?

Yes. The hotfix is present on ALL of the servers in our environment. All primary, secondary, CASO, and managed servers have the hotfix installed.

If the issue still occurs, you prolly might want to disable automatic updates via LiveUpdate...Also, If you have other Symantec products on these servers, opt out of LiveUpdate using this KB - http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH52744
