Schedule Export Expired Media in Backup Exec 2014

Hi,

i'm writing because of my recent problems with configuring with scheduling exporting expired media tapes after upgrade to Backup Exec 2014.

Everything was fine while on BE2012.

According to this KB Article, there should be option in "Storage operations" tab:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=HOWTO98958

But, as can be seen in attachment, i don't see that option.

What could be the possible reason for such behavior?

We are running Backup Exec 2014 with latest update for now on Windows Storage Server 2012 R2 Standard.

Best Regards,

Daniel

Are you using a VTL and not a physical robotic library ?

Just checked on my test system. This can also happen if you right-click the slot number itself and then the option to export expired media isn't available.

Instead from the storage tab, right-click the library itself or "slots" and then the appropriate option will be available.

I'm using Physical Robotic Library IBM TS3200 (IBM 3573-TL).

I don't see that option in "Schedule" - no matter where i'm clicking from.

I've already tried from all possible views. From Storage Tab, from Slots, from Library, from Library and then Slots - still the same.

I can export expired media manually, but that's not the point.

Would recommend you to log a support case for us to investigate this further.

I think I am missing something here. Your screenshot shows both Storage Operations and Schedule on the left-hand pane, so I don't know what is your problem
