Schedule backup after other backup is completed

Dear people,

To start of this is my first post, aswell I'm not english so if my grammer is not correct I'm sorry for the inconvinius.

I'm using Backupexec 12 and I have created serveral backup jobs.
I want to improve the backup schedule time, as I know its possible when Backup A is done that Backup B will automatically start by creating a policy "If I'm saying this correctly".
Now I have tried to set this good but some how I'm doing something wrong.

Is there anyone here who would like to help me and enrich my knowledge about this program to explain how I can set this up correctly.
Or give me an website were I can read documentation about this subject since I can not find it on the internet.

Kind regards,
MrHoek

Hi MrHoek,

You are able to set a rule that states something like the following:

When Job A completes, immediately run Job B.

I have only seen this with a policy, so that's how you're going to have to structure it. Create Job A as a policy, create Job B as a policy, and then create the rule from the drop-down list. That is a simplified example of how it would get done...

Laters!

MrHoek,

Note that with policies, all your job templates in the policy must use the same selection list.  You cannot have job A backing up server A and job B backing up server B in the same policy.

Hi Mr. Hoek,

Any news here...?

if policies don't work for you, you can do it the old-fashioned way

Create  your different jobs

Create BEMCMD batch/CMD files to run each

In the POST job section of JobA put the BEMCMD file that runs JobB

do the same if you have a JobC in JobB
