Scheduled Cleanings

My tape drive manufacturer recommends that I clean my drive every X hours of drive use. Is it possible to schedule a cleaning based on this, or do I have to calculate approximately how many hours the drive is used per week, and then schedule based on that?

(example: cleaning is recommended every 150 hours, my average week uses 50 hours, so I need to schedule every 3 weeks)

the problem with the above scenario is that on weeks where my monthly/yearly backups run, the hours of drive use will be much higher than my average.

Thank you for submitting this support query. There is no specific way to tell Backup Exec to run a cleaning job after X hours of backups. However, you can schedule a cleaning job to run every 3 or 4 days, if the backups are so frequent.
