Scheduled full backup hung with ststus Running

Hi, my scheduled full backup hangs with the ststus "RUNNING".
I'am using Veritas Backup Exec 9.1 on Windows 2000 Server.
The backup was scheduled to run on a recycled tape with the data erased (QUICK ERASE).

Check for the following to troubleshoot this issue further.
1. Check if there are any active alerts.
2. Insert overwritable media and verify if the job completes.
3. Create a new job and verify the results.
4. Check if there are any particular files where the job hangs.
5. If you are backing up multiple resources, backup them one at a time and check if the backup hangs on a prticular resource.
