I'm running Backup Exec 12.5 my job status were stuck on 'system paused'. I was able to get the system to unpause...Now, I have jobs stuck on 'ready, on hold'. I cannot get them to run or cancel them - cannot run scheduled jobs that are showing as scheduled. no good backups for 5 days now HELP!!

1) Restart all the BE services, you may be required to kill bengine.exe to kill all the jobs.
2) Open BEutility.exe and check the stautus of the server if its still in the paused state.
3) If you are using a tape device check if any tape is stucked in the drive
4) Perform powercycle of the media server and the tape device
5) If the above does not fix the issue then reload database from backup

Note: Before performing step#5 make a copy of the DATA folder which is located at the below location.
X:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec

Which step fixed the issue.
