SharePoint Backup Server and/or Server farm

I would like to know the best practice when backing up SharePoint. When adding the vmware HOST in BackupExec 16, the servers are added and Server Farm is also added.

What is the recommended backup? Server Farm or Server?
And select everything to back up?

You have to backup the entire farm using a normal job. You should not do a VM backup of the servers

Always back up the "Farm Server", all right.

On the server to have the SDR, do I have to do normally correct? In case you do not need to mark the SharePoint options, correct?
