Sharepoint portal backup using Backup exec CPS

Hi,


We are having the MS SharePoint portal 2003/2007& WSPS with MSSQL 2005 DB in 4 servers respectively, Backing up this portal with Backup EXEC 12.5 with GRT is one option with provided for only Full backups, is incremental and differential backup have GRT option , please help and suggest

Is CPS has option for backup MS SharePoint Portal.

Over all Please suggest the Best way to Backup of 1.8 TB data of SharePoint Portals Backup using Symantec Backup EXEC 12.5 and CPS.

Hello Ahrish,

CPS is not the option for backing up sharepoint. We will have to use Backup Exec for sharepoint backups.

Backing up SharePoint portal with Backup EXEC 12.5 with GRT is the only option.

But GRT is enable for Full backups only , how about the diff/inncr backup.

Backup Exec does not support GRT based incrementa OR differental backups for Sharepoint...
