Single Agent required for all backups

I have a question for BE2012. There is only a single agent for windows setup/executable required for windows machine which can backup SQL, Exchange, Sharepoint, Oracle etc. Just there should be a license installed on BE2012 for the Application and DB

Hi,

You use the Agent for Databases and Applications in order to backup applications like SQL and Exchange. This allows you to install the RAWS agent on an application server. You need this type of agent license for every type of application server you have. ie...5 x SQL servers, then 5 x Agent for Databases and Applications.

If you have a file server, domain controller, or print server for example, then you need a license for Remote Agent for Windows Servers for every type of server like this.

These licenses must be installed on the media server.

Yes, only one executable with all the features. Licenses installed on media server enables respective features on agents.

Means RAWS are same for any App and DB. but the license should be added on BE server for that app(like sql license or exchange license)

Yes...RAWS installed on the media server for file/print/AD etc. Application agent installed on the media server for SQL/SP/Exchange etc which includes the RAWS agent...
