Slow backup

After performing a restore, the next backup is extremely slow (300 KB after 6 hours). If the Backup Exec services are restarted, backups will then run at the normal speeds. The tape drive is an LTO3 on its own SCSI controller using the Veritas drivers. I've tried using an old DDS4 drive with the same results. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Don't know about extreme slowness, but the first backup after a restore "Hanging" is a known problem with a HotFix that was rolled into SP1 and all following SPs

Hi,

I also have encounter this problem that after I have upgrade the SP4, my backup starting slow @ est 10MB / mins. Why this happen??? Any one have solutions on this?
