I'm hoping somebody can help me. I am backing up 13 Solaris 9 Servers using Backup Exec 12.5 Rev 2213. It seems that the either the server or the RALUS agent is very selective when backing up symlinks. During troubleshooting i have tried to backup only one symlink reference file which I can see in the backup selection list but yields "File
\\grumpy\[ROOT]/disk4/frank/raid2 is in the backup selection list but was not found" in the backup log and fails. In another directory, when performing a full ROOT backup, only 15 out of 399 symlinks are backed up and no failures are logged, but when only i select this directory specifically for troubleshooting purposes all symlinks are actually backed up. The only Unix specific options I have selected are "Preserve change time" and "Follow local mount points" in the policy. Does anybody have any clues as to why this is happening?
