During catalog of full vmdk GRT enabled backup, some files are tagged "GRT incompatile"... That's right !
We cannot exclude files from this type of backup... It's true !
So why consider thes files as "Exceptions" and the whole job not completely Successful ?

Is there a way to stop notitfy this type of files ?

Thanks

Unfortunately no. If this is something like an RDM disk or incompatible disk, you will keep getting the exceptions.

Hello there,

Exceptions is just to notify the user that GRT is not possible for those disk. If we do not notify the user then he will be thinking that its possible and then would face issues during restores if they go for GRT restore.

Thanks,

Bascially if GRT is enabled in the job we assume you want GRT to run so any error with GRT is then a cotrrectly classified as a failure.

If you want to get rid of the message then as you already know that GRT won't work on those virtual machines, then put the affected machiens in their own job with GRT disabled.
