Storage Device Configuration Error

Yoink42
Not applicable
That is the error BE gives me.
The event Viewer States:

Event ID 58052
Adamm configuration Warning.
The device driver may not be installed for device:
Identifier: EXABYTE LTO 1x7 2U B006
Type: MediumChangerPeripheral

and

Event ID 58053
Bacup Exec Alert: Device Error
(Server:"XXXXX")Storage Device configuration error.

This is running Veritas BE 9.1 Rev4691 with the Service Pack on it on a Windows 2000 Server.
The autoloader is an Exabyte Magnum 1X7 LTO

In BE the device pops up as a stand alone drive and I can't do anything with it. I've spent about an hour on the phone with Exabyte technical support elimiating the drive as any problem. The loader and drive work fine.

THis is a new installation of BE and a Brand new out of the box loader.

Device manager shows the device an Unidentified Medium Changer using a Microsoft Driver under the Medium Changer category. Under the Tape Device Category it shows an IBM Ultrim-TD2 SCSI Sequential Device and the drivers are from Veritas.

This Tape drive does show up on the HCL. I've reinstalled the drivers, removed them, reinstalled BE, upgraded from 9.0 to 9.1, Installed every patch from Veritas, microsoft and Exabyte. Upgraded my Adaptec 39160 Drivers and updated the firmware on the Library.

I'm stuck. I've been through the Veritas KB and tried just about everything. Short of paying for support I seem to have exhausted my resources. Everything points to the drivers not being installed but no matter how many times I try everything seems to be installed fine but not really.

HELP!
