For several clients I backup multiple servers to a single large NAS device. It happens to be a Synology device. I am wondering about the 'Best Pratice' for this senario. Is it preferred to create one large storage area for the combination of servers or an individual shared folder for each individual server?
Pros and Cons?

1. Use iSCSI if the NAS does it...it's going to work out much, much simpler. NFS will work but is subject to network timeouts and never appeared as robust when I was doing a similar thing.
2. Just target the NAS and let BE handle the management of backup sets and folders. If you start creating individual jobs for individual servers it might end up becoming a manegement nightmare.
Thanks!
