Subject Backup Exec ver.10d does not recognise media.

I have recently installed Backup Exec Ver10d and the software can�t recognise the media. I am successfully backing up using the standard MS Windows backup but not Backup Exec. In the Devices the media label shows as None although there is a tape. As a result of this I can�t manage the media, format or label any.



Here is the setup

HP Proliant Server ML350G3

HP Backup Device 448 � LTO

Windows 2003 SP1 and all updates

Backup Exec Ver.10d with all updates

Hello,

Please stop and disable the RSM service if it is running.


Also ensure that the device is not connected to SCSI Target IDs 0, 1 or 6 since the IDs 0 and 1 are reserved for bootable disks and the ID 6 is reserved for the SCAM technology of Microsoft.

Please ensure that the latest device Drivers and the SCSI firmware and the drivers have been installed.
