Subsequent backups don't run unless backup user logs on and then logs out

The evening after a successful backup will always be followed by a "error orrucrred while connecting to the Remote Agent for Windows Servers" job failure unless I log the backup user on and then log them off. Windows 2003 server. Any ideas? Thanks.

Kindly apply Service Pack 1 and verify the result.
