We are using 10.d to back up our exchange 2003 server several times a day.
A user deleted his inbox and it needs to be restored. However the successful backup is not in the restore selection list. The only ones that appear are the monthly backups of the entire server and the latest backup I ran.
My problem is that the user did not mention he had deleted his inbox until the following day and therefore I can not restore his mailbox from an earlier state.
Is this correct or am i doing something seriously wrong with my backup

I am not sure if you aware of the fact that Exchange 2003 together with Outlook offers enough possibilities that users can accidently deleted items restore by themselves (even if trash was emptied). Restore of Exchange is really only needed if you lose for some reason the information store. E.g.: http://www.petri.co.il/using_outlook_2003_to_recover_deleted_items.htm
Btw. what's the reason to backup Exchange several times a day? Gerhard
