Support Number for DirectAssist not included in purchased software box?

Dear all,

I need to open a tecnical thread on DirectAssist, but I have no Support Number. I have a regular box of Veritas Backup Exec for Windows Server 10d but I can't find it. Isn't this service available purchasing a copy of the software? I have to purchase it separately? Is there any other support service I can post to apart this forum?

No. If you buy the retail box, this forum is all your official support. Yes really!

Yes. You need a support contract, which you can get from a Symantec reseller.

Thank you very much. Do you think that phone support would answer to tecnical questions? The problem is that I posted the following thread some days ago at this forum but nobody was able to help me. May be you know any solution for this problem?
