Hi Folk,

Can BE2012 SDR backup Windows Internal Database (mdf & ldf files)?

What's type for SDR to backup entire system drive? using agent for windows and agent for sql during backup? or agent for window only?

Thanks.

Regards,

Kelvin

.mdf and .ldf files are automatically excluded from any backups, SDR or otherwise, by AFE.

To backup SQL, you need to use a SQL agent to do the backup. For SQL restores, it is always a 2-step process, regardless of SDR or not.  You first restore the application (SDR will do this automatically) and then you restore the data.
