Symantec Backup Exec 2014 Agent for VMWare - checking on licensing for a second VMWare host

Hi,

Currently we have a physical server running Backup Exec 2014. Included is the Backup Exec 2014 Agent for VMWare and Hyper-V Business Pack. Up until now we have had one VMWare host.

We have added a second VMWare host, now hosting several virtual servers that used to be physical servers plus some new virtual servers on this second host.

What extra licensing do I need to cover this situation please?

Is it:-

1) A case of purchasing an additional Symantec Backup Exec 2014 Agent for VMWare and Hyper-V Business Pack?

2) Do I also need to purchase additional agent licenses for each virtual server on the second VMWare host. For physical servers now converted to virtual (that had an agent already), I'm guessing I wouldn't need any new licensing for these particular servers.

Thanks for your attention in advance on this.

You are correct in your assumptions. If you have any new VM's then you would need to buy the agent licences for them
