I need to do file backup from one server only. Tape library with two drives attached to that server. There are no databases or other applications on that server. How many licenses for Symantec Backup Exec 2014 product family I need to purchase?

You only need to purchase the core BE license and a Library Expansion Option license for the second drive in the tape library
