Symantec Backup Exec Agent for Active Directory & SQL

Can I restore Active Directory and SQL databases just with backup exec agent licenses? Is it mandatory to have a separate licenses for these products?

Also how can I use dada deduplication in BackupExec?

You need one Agent for Applications and Databases for each application/database on each server.  For example, if you have AD and SQL Server databases on the same server or on two different server, you need 2 Agent for Applications and Databases.

To get deduplication, you need to buy the Dedup option.  Dedup requires more memory on the media server, make sure you have sufficient.
