Greetings Support,
One of our Sql backup is failing with following error messages -
Backup- ELECTRO-CA01\BKUPEXECV-79-40960-37914 - Database BE_DLO is configured to maintain transaction logs. Transaction log backups are not being performed. This will result in the log growing to fill all available disk space. Regular log backups should be scheduled or the database should be changed to the simple recovery mode.
V-79-40960-37914 - Database BEDB is configured to maintain transaction logs. Transaction log backups are not being performed. This will result in the log growing to fill all available disk space. Regular log backups should be scheduled or the database should be changed to the simple recovery mode.
However, Client added these databases to BE_DLO & DEDB to Sql log backups inplace but still backup job completed with same exceptions.
Refer our current backup template screenshot for more information.
Request you to shed some light on it .
Regards,
Sai Kishore.

BE & DLO's databases are configured with Simple recovery model, so ideally you should not be configuring any transaction log backups for them.
Per your screenshot, they seem to have been changed to Full. The default is Simple, any reason for changing the recovery model ?
I would recommend to to change the recovery model back to Simple. Then configure one backup job with Full backup method for DBs which have Simple recovery model. And configure a second backup job with Full backup method and log backup method for those DBs which have Full/Bulk-logged recovery model.

Thanks everyone for all your inputs.
One last question, before we mark it as resolved.
Default recovery model for BEDB and BE_DLO will be simple or FULL ?
