Symantec Backup exec 2010 : sauvegarde sur Disque externe

Bonjour,

J'ai un serveur de sauvegarde Symantec Backup Exec R3 avec agent Hyper-V.

Je sauvegarde sur 5 disques dur externe (un pour chaque jour de la semaine).

Les sauvegardes fonctionnent correctement sauf que dans mon job je precise d'ecraser à chaque sauvegarde car je n'ai pas assez de place sinon.

Sur mon disque la sauvegarde se fait avec un rep BDD et 2 rep IMG avec à l'interieur les fichiers VHD de chacuns de mes 2 serveurs virtuels.

A la prochaine sauvegarde il n'ecrase pas ces DOssiers IMG000x mais il en rajoute de ux à chaque fois ?

Que faire pour qu'il ecrase à chaque fois ?????

Be aware that Backup to disk jobs should start as Overwrite Jobs instead of Append then Overwrite - Symantec are aware that some customers have experiened problems with IMG reclaims/deletions if the jobs do not actually stars as an Overwrite job.

Of course your overwrite protection has to be set in such a way that the IMG is overwriteable as well - so if your GRT backup job takes 6 hours to run and you want to overwrite that IMG on a weekly rotation - do not set an overwrite protection period of 1 week or 7 days. Instead set the overwrite protection to 6.5 days (entered in hours) so that it is overwritable for the start of the job a week later

This is because the IMG overwrite period is set at the end of the job that created it not at the start so with a 6 hour run time won't be overwritable until 6 hours after you try and start the job and this causes a new IMG to be created,.
