Synthetic Backup Selection List Content - Database exclusions

Hello. I am using Backup Exec 2010R3 & am beginning to convert my backup jobs to Synthetic backups. The problem that I am running in to is that my selection lists contain databases, etc. that prevent the Synthetic backup policies from creating jobs. What is the best way to determine what the invalid content is in my selection lists? are there certain database filename extensions that I should look for & exclude? Thank you!

You cannot do synthetic backups with databases.  It is only for flat files.  See the What you can back up with synthetic backup section on page 917 of the Admin Guide.
